Lainate, September 2017 – Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today presents its new WM50 branch circuit monitoring system.
The WM50 is a complete branch circuit monitoring solution, able to measure up to 96 channels by means of up to eight 12-channel split core current transformer blocks. All data can be transmitted to the BMS or data centre monitoring system via either Modbus RTU or TCP/IP, by selecting the required module.
The WM50 is also a class 0.5S (kWh) power analyser which measures all the electrical variable mains, including the harmonic distortion (THD and single harmonics) of current and voltage. The measurement and control of the mains of the distribution unit is completely managed by the WM50, avoiding the installation of any additional power analyser.
The variable mains can be controlled by 16 virtual alarms and optionally linked to digital outputs. The variables are visible in a wide LCD display and can be transmitted by means of one of the available protocols, Modbus RTU or TCP/IP.

Developed by our Competence Centre in Italy, the WM50 branch circuit monitoring system is designed to meet the requirements of metering in Conventional Energy and in Building Automation markets, mainly in data centres and critical load monitoring applications, such as web-farms, banks, insurance companies, hospitals, universities or wherever the control of multiple loads is needed
